number one again
in yet another skill,
world-class art this time
a pervasive local talent
also unheralded by critics
like acting, that other top thrill

kowtowing to the tok dalang
a posturing few perceive
and even fewer profess
for puppets get so entranced
they view shadow-play a fiction
traitors conjure up to deceive

how well we spice
life with those lies
