Aku jatuh cinta
pada luka lama
yang masih basah,
berdarah dan bernanah

Aku jatuh cinta
kepada mu sayang
pujuk rindu,
dakap cumbu belai layu

Masih dendam
usung pendam
Gapai bintang
capai awan
Yang terbentang
Saat terlentang

Cerita cintamu
lingkar bundar
Pusing saring
Perangkap jaring,
berkerincing

I fall in love
with an old wound
still wet—
bleeding, festering

I fall in love
with you, my dear,
coaxing the ache—
an embrace, endearment, a withering caress

Still resentful,
hauling the buried,
reaching for stars,
grasping at clouds
spread wide
while I lie open

Your love story
a circling loop,
spinning, straining,
a net snare
jangling

Your love story
tangled and clouded,
rust and rot,
a pulsing chant
in ebb and flow
