He!

He!

You are a flower, he said
I am a bee, he claimed
Then he became a bee
Flitting from one flower to another

I am his Veena (musical instrument), he said
Himself the fingers (that churn the music), he claimed
He desired to play melodies
upon every Veena he saw

I was the ripened fruit
He was the guardian
Yet, like one who seeks sweeter fruit
He changed his opinion

I am a swan
My walk is elegant, he said
But one day, he found joy
In speaking with a woman with braided hair

I was his light,
I was his soul, he claimed
But today, he desires to chop me
with a machete in his hand
